Populations We Serve

At-Risk children & Youth

A safe space to be seen and understood

For those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress, horses offer a gentle, steady presence. They notice emotional shifts instantly and respond without judgment, helping participants:

  • Identify, acknowledge emotions
  • Build trust through consistent, positive interactions
  • Gain a sense of accomplishment through achievable goals

Activities such as grooming, leading, and mindful connection foster self-regulation, reduce isolation, and nurture hope. Over time, these experiences create new coping strategies and deepen emotional resilience.

Those Navigating Grief & Loss

Healing in your own time, your own way

Loss can leave us feeling unmoored, disconnected from ourselves and others. Horses provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for participants to express emotions without pressure. Through quiet companionship and gentle interaction with the horses, participants can:

· Reconnect with their own emotions

· Feel supported in moments of vulnerability

· Regain a sense of belonging and connection

In the presence of a horse, healing often becomes a shared, wordless process—one that honors each person’s individual journey.
